We are honored to be the Co-Presidents of VASTRA and would like to thank the founding members, the first executive board, the membership, and all who have preceded us.  Thanks to each for maintaining the vision and commitment to excellence as an organization. VASTRA is a member-driven organization with an all-volunteer board of directors who collectively endeavor to promote excellence across all areas of TR Service delivery.

VASTRA continues to seek out the latest in educational opportunities. The organization has held many successful workshops including the first VASTRA Conference in 2015. Approximately 135 people attended! Moving forward, we will continue to focus on providing exceptional training opportunities for CTRS’s throughout Virginia and the region to earn CEU’s, networking opportunities, and continuing to provide new training ideas to help serve your clients, resident, or participants.

Over the next two years, VASTRA leadership will focus on three main goals:

    • 1.       Offering workshops and an annual conference at a low cost. These educational opportunities will hopefully provide the information you need to practice in your setting.
    • 2.       Increasing our professional and student membership of VASTRA.  It is very important for us to continue to look into licensure for our state but we can’t complete this endeavor without a strong voice. Currently, our membership is 1/10 of the practicing CTRS’s in the state. Also, by increasing our membership, VASTRA will be able to understand more of the needs of CTRS’s throughout the state.  VASTRA will be offering incentives to current members who refer others to join.
    • 3.       Offering socials throughout Virginia to help other CTRS’s meet and get to know each other better. Our very first socials were in Richmond and Fishersville with other socials slated for Hampton Roads, Fairfax and Roanoke.  Please check our Facebook and Website pages for that information.

If there is anything we can do as the VASTRA Co-Presidents to make your membership better, please let us know! You can always contact us by email at or . Thank you for letting us serve you and we look forward to working with you!
